There is plenty of reliable information on the Internet to help parents, students, and educators learn about cyberbullying and effective ways to prevent it. I am listing some of the sites that I found to be helpful in learning about cyberbullying and ones that I used to help create this website.

HELPFUL LINKS

The National Crime Prevention Council’s (NCPC) mission is to be the nation's leader in helping people keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe from crime. To achieve this, NCPC produces tools that communities can use to learn crime prevention strategies, engage community members, and coordinate with local agencies.

DoSomething.org is a non-profit organization with the goal of motivating young people to take action around social changes through national campaigns and grants for projects that make an impact.

StopBullying.gov provides information from various government agencies on what bullying is, what cyberbullying is, who is at risk, and how you can prevent and respond to bullying. 

StopCyberbullying.org is affiliated with WiredSafety.org which is a site that provides one-to-one help, extensive information, and education to cyberspace users of all ages on a myriad of Internet and interactive technology safety, privacy and security issues. These services are offered through a worldwide organization comprised entirely of unpaid volunteers who administer specialized websites, resources and programs.

Cyberbully411 is an effort to provide resources for youth who have questions about or have been targeted by online harassment. The website was created by Internet Solutions for Kids, Inc with funding from the Community Technology Foundation of California.

MediaSmarts has been developing digital and media literacy programs and resources for Canadian homes, schools and communities since 1996. Through their work they support adults with information and tools so they can help children and teens develop the critical thinking skills they need for interacting with the media they love.

The End to Cyber Bullying (ETCB) Organization is a state certified non-profit organization founded by Samuel Lam and David Zhao on May 1st, 2011 in hopes of creating a social network devoid of cyber bullying. By raising awareness and informing the members of their community and others around the globe, ETCB hopes to help teens, parents, educators, and others identify, prevent, and ultimately stop cyber bullying.
